Award-winning Salisbury Estate Agents Whites were established in 1957 by Harry White. Chartered Surveyor Trevor Shepherd then joined the practice as a partner in 1962 and expansion in 1964 saw the company move to current premises at 47 Castle Street where it has continued to flourish. In 1976 Mr. Shepherd purchased the practice on Mr. White's retirement.
Marcus Shepherd (the now Managing Director of Whites) and also RICS qualified joined his dad in 1993 and together they ran the firm in partnership. Over the years the company had increasingly become known as Whites and so it seemed a natural step to drop the "H W" and simply become "Whites". Every aspect of the company was then updated with a new contemporary logo.
This brings us to Spring 2019 the firm is still a thriving independent company managed by Marcus Shepherd and over the last 60 years has handled more property transactions than any other Salisbury agent. It was also recently voted Independent Estate Agent of the Year for Wiltshire.

An estate agent for 40 years, Tony started his career in Surrey before moving to Winchester and finally settling in Salisbury some 25 years ago.
He particularly enjoys living here because of the countryside and the community feel in and around Salisbury.

Tony now lives on the edge of Salisbury with his wife, three daughters and two rescue dogs.
