Belgarum is a family-owned independent estate agency built from a team who are proud to live and work in Winchester. It is important to us that we support our community, its people and its businesses. Each year we select a different local charity to support with volunteering, fundraising and help them raise awareness within the community. In 2018 we chose to support Friends of Lanterns, the charity supporting Lanterns Children's Centre & Extended Services.
Lanterns is a nursery school in the heart of suburban Winchester providing a fully inclusive, nurturing environment for all children, with identified places for children with additional needs from 2 years, 9 months. Alongside this, the centre offers a multitude of additional services providing support to children and their families living in our city.
For our Charity of the Year 2019, Belgarum have chosen to support Winchester & District Young Carers. Their mission - To improve the lives of children and young people with caring responsibilities by providing safe, quality support to individuals and offering an inclusive and holistic approach which considers the needs of the whole family Our team are hugely looking forward to getting involved in such a worthwhile cause.

Our story begins in 1989 where Belgarum started in Brassey Road, the centre of Winchester with a telephone, a filing cabinet, and a desire to succeed!
Fast forward to 2003, and John set up Belgarum Estate Agents having worked for several large corporate firms; he made the decision to offer a better services for clients seeking property in Winchester.
Shortly after setting up he recruited Alex to work alongside him and expand the business accordingly.
Gradually they grew, creating awareness in the city of their approach to selling property, ensuring they match the right buyers with the right customers, and most importantly treating people how they would like to be dealt with.
