Morris Property Management specialises in property management for clients who own and let out commercial property in Scotland. Broad experience gained acting both as a client, having worked for large institutions, British Rail Property Board, Royal Bank of Scotland and Clydeport and also in the private sector, Donaldsons, CBRE and Workman and in acting for a diverse range of clients, from large Funds and property companies, to private individuals.
I am therefore aware of what clients require in terms of managing commercial buildings, having provided this service at various levels and for a variety of property types, both as a client and as a managing agent. I am a qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and also have an IOSH qualification. I have experience acting over a number of years for major clients including Property Funds (Blackrock/Threadneedle), several blue chip companies, Property Companies and private individuals.

The day to day provision of property management services and maintenance where required, including reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance on a more pro-active basis.
The billing of all rent and service charges that are payable by occupiers under their lease terms.
Setting up and running service charges for properties, with all that entails, including setting budgets, monitoring expenditure and maximising recovery from tenants and looking for opportunities to reduce outgoings where possible.

Assisted in both the development and implementation of a strategy for carrying out a targeted refurbishment of selected units on the estate, in order to facilitate the re-letting of several vacant units.
This included introducing a new joint agent to work alongside the existing letting agents.
Various units have now been successfully let as a result of this strategy and the works that have been undertaken.
