Son of the firm's founder, Charles Birt, Giles joined the family business in 1988 and took over as Principal following Charles' retirement in 2000.
Giles has a degree in Urban Estate Management, and is a Professional Associate of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
He was born in Tenby.
Apart from his school and college years - and a stint working in Bristol with a London-based commercial surveying practice - Giles has lived in the famous seaside town.
Outside of work, Giles' interests include skiing, mountaineering, cycling and most activities that involve being outdoors.
