Once you have found a property and contacted us to arrange a viewing, you will be asked to meet one of our letting agents at the property who will show you around and answer any questions you may have. You will also be required to provide proof of ID and to pay a holding fee of one weeks rent but this payment will be deducted from the first month's rent when you move in. Fozard Properties is registered with the Deposit Protection Service (DPS) and any deposits taken under a fully managed contract will be held by them until the end of the tenancy at which point the return of the deposit will need to be authorised for payment by us, minus any unpaid rent or damages.
In the case of a let-only contract being in place rather than a fully managed contract the deposit will be given direct to the landlord at the start of the tenancy and it is then the landlord who is responsible for putting the deposit into their own tenancy deposit scheme rather than the letting agent.
